First thing’s first. Proper prep. Soak and soften cuticles, then gently push them back. Then trim tips, file edges, lightly buff beds.
Now you’re ready for a base coat. We go for CND Stickey Base Coat because it grabs the polish like nothing else.
Next, color coats. Beginning at the middle of each finger, stroke from near-cuticle outward to the tip. Do the same at each side. The rule of thumb, for darks and brights, you’ll need 2-3 coats of color. For something sheer and pale like Esse’s classic Sugar Daddy, 1-2 coats will do.
Last but not least, the top coat. We’re loving Deobrah Lippmann right now. But Peau de Peche also packs a quick drying, long-lasting punch.
To extend the life of your polish, try re-applying the top coat every two days.
